Remit

The remit of the NIJC is:

  • To apply decisions of the NJC on pay and conditions
  • To make recommendations to the NJC
  • To consider matters of interest to employees that have not been covered by National agreements i.e. Northern Ireland provincial agreements
  • To assist in the resolution of disputes between authorities and employees regarding the application of National or Northern Ireland provincial agreements

The business of the NIJC is progressed through meetings of the full NIJC on a quarterly basis and the Executive Committee.
