Adrian Kerr, Chief Executive, has overall responsibility for service delivery within the Commission as follows:

 

Accountability

Continuing to implement a sound system of control to support the Commission’s objectives in accordance with Government Accounting Northern Ireland

 

People Development

Operating a culture of open communication and participation, where staff feel valued and involved and where innovation is encouraged

 

Operational Support Services

 

Providing continuous improvement in the Commission’s Administrative Support and Financial services

Career Development and Secondment Opportunities

 

Investigating and developing career development and secondment opportunities within the public sector for local government employees.

Enhancing Local Government

 

 

Supporting Strategy Delivery

Working closely with the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE) and the Northern Ireland Local Government Association (NILGA) to ensure every opportunity to enhance local government is developed.  Liaising with other bodies to ensure that the Commission can meet the human resource needs of local government, arising from the Review of Public Administration.

 

Ensuring that all Commission staff have the skills and knowledge to enable them to contribute to both personal and organisational improvement.  Utilising human, financial and physical resources, in order to demonstrate continuous improvement.
