Launch of Disability in Local Councils Initiative

This initiative, which is being initiated in partnership with a number of organisations including the Equality Commission for NI, Employers for Disability NI, SOLACE, Disability Action and NIPSA, will highlight the key disability issues for councils, and encourage each council to appoint an officer and elected member Disability Champion to lead the initiative at council level.

The keynote speaker at this event will be Kate Nash of Ultimate People Networks and author of the publication “Disabled Employee Networks – a practical guide”. Kate advises organisations on how to set up purposeful networks that are congruent with what the organisation wants to achieve.
