Statutory Duty Network Meeting

Statutory Duty Network is providing an update session for those with responsibility for equality issues in local government.

Aubrey McCrory of the Statutory Duty Unit in the Equality Commission will provide a feedback session on the most recent Section 75 Progress Reports. He will also outline what is required for the next Progress Report and the 5 Year Review.

The Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) formed an Equality Research and Information Branch in 2002 with the aim of collating and disseminating statistics and research relevant to equality of opportunity and its promotion within the public sector. Hugh McNickle, NISRA will guide members through the online provision of statistical information, available equality data etc.

A representative from OFMDFM will outline their current consultation on the draft Disability Discrimination (NI) Order.

This half-day session will finish with lunch. There is no charge to attend the event.
