This half-day course is for frontline supervisors who have already received basic training on anti-harassment and promoting dignity at work. It specifically focuses on issues emerging from working with colleagues or customers from a migrant background.

10.15 Relevant anti-discrimination law
- preventing harassment and exclusion

10.45 Scenarios with co-workers from a migrant background
- what if the colleague does not speak good English?
- what if the colleague refuses to speak English?
- what if there are tensions between groups of migrant workers from different countries?
- what if a migrant worker / group is isolated by the indigenous workforce?
- what if a migrant group isolates a work colleague from an indigenous background?

Cancellation Policy:
Substitutions may be made at any time, but please give as much notice as possible. In the event of a cancellation notified between two weeks and one week before the start of a course, a charge of £30 per training day will be levied. For a cancellation less than one week before the start of a course, or a nominee's failure to attend a course, a cancellation fee of £60 per training day will be charged to councils. This principle will also be applied if a participant fails to attend on any day of a course lasting two or more days. No charge will be levied if a cancelled place is filled from a reserve list.
