Disability In Local Councils

Disability in Local Councils Initiative

This initiative, which has been established in partnership with a number of organisations including the Equality Commission for NI, Employers for Disability NI, SOLACE, Disability Action and NIPSA, was launched on Tuesday 8 September 2009.

The initiative will highlight the key disability issues for councils, and encourage each council to appoint an officer and elected member Disability Champion to lead the initiative at council level.
